A True Worshipper: Andria is a faith-filled family-centric woman with a true heart for everyone around her

Her daughter, Madison said, “My mom is a songbird. She always has a beautiful song on her lips, and I love to sing and worship with her.”

Andria Powers’ kids admire her for her heart for them, their father and God. She cares so much about everyone all around her, and her prioritization of family time and fellowship is completely unmatched.

“What I admire most about my mom is her strong sense of family; she’s always made sure we feel connected and loved, creating a warm and welcoming home for everyone,” her children said. “Above all, it’s her unconditional love that I admire most. It’s an accepting love that has been a constant source of strength and comfort throughout our lives.”

In the Powers household, it has always been about spending quality time together. Whether it was family meals, watching movies and TV together, or going out on walks and vacationing, the important thing is that they spent time together. And even with Noah, Josh and Madison all grown up and not able to play Scrabble as frequently with their mom anymore, they still cherish all the moments they do get to spend with her.

They cherish all they have learned from her over the years too, as she has always taught by example. She is a woman of strong moral character, and Andria lives by the best principles of life.

“My mom means the world to me,” Noah said. “She’s shown me what it truly means to live with boundless love and unwavering kindness. Every interaction, every lesson, and every sacrifice she’s made has been an example of genuine warmth and an open heart. She’s the very definition of compassion in action, and her loving spirit has deeply shaped who I am.”

Andria is not only a wonderful mother, but a great friend to many. She shows the love of Jesus wherever she goes, and she does so with more than just her church family. Anyone she is around feels a sense of warmth and love because of how much Andria cares about people.

One of the people she has cared about for over 30 years is her ‘crabby,’ but loving husband. Sean has been the beneficiary of a truly dedicated wife who has been there for him through thick and thin, and he appreciates her more than she realizes.

“Andria, you’ve been a rock of ages throughout our three decades of marriage,” Sean said. “You live a life of integrity and love for others, publicly and in private. You are the same person in both situations. I’m grateful for His Providence in bringing us together, for our three wonderful children, and for sustaining us in the valleys. I could not be more blessed sharing life with you.”

Sean loves going to sporting events, plays and concerts with his wife, and he just loves seeing her live the fruitful life that she lives. He has such great reverence for Andria because she is authentic and relatable to others, and she wants what is best for everyone.

“She consistently showed me the power of kindness, demonstrating through her actions how to live with a compassionate heart,” Noah said. “She taught me how to show unconditional love, which has shaped my understanding of relationships. Beyond that, she instilled in me the significance of faith, teaching me to trust in something greater than myself and find strength in spiritual grounding. These lessons are woven into the fabric of my being, and are invaluable gifts that I carry with me every day.”

As much as Andria loves her family and friends, her faith is what is most important to her, and it shows. She raised her children to love God and to grow up in the house of the Lord, and whether she would be worshipping or reading her Bible, she has always been attuned to her Savior.

Her family more than appreciates her faith, and they are grateful to learn from such a God-fearing woman on the daily.

They are grateful to have made so many countless memories with her too. There are so many special moments they have shared with her that they look back and reflect upon, and that is because life with Andria is so amazing.

“When we were courting, and I’d go by her house, her sisters would say they know when I’m around because Andria would be quiet and reserved,” Sean said. “One time I was over there, and she didn’t know I had arrived yet. She was singing and acting carefree. She looked embarrassed when she saw I was there, lol.”

That’s just who Andria is, though. She lives life to the fullest, has the voice of an angel, and she just lives life for the Lord. She is everything you could ask for in a matriarch, and the Powers clan is beyond thankful for her.

Madison said, “I would like my mom to know how much I love and appreciate her patience and kindness and the care she puts into everything she does. I am so proud to know her.”
