All About Family: Ian Watson is a husband and father of two who will go to great lengths for the good of his family

“When I met his 2-year-old son and saw how he interacted with him and how he was as a father.”

When this is what your wife says when asked what made her realize she wanted to be with you forever, that is a major green flag. And in the case of Ian, this was just one of the many reasons why Teresa fell in love with him after they got reacquainted.

“He is loving, caring, dedicated, hardworking, honest and reliable,” she mentioned.

When Teresa first met Ian, all of this was actually moot to her (mainly because they were in first grade and neither of them had fully matured yet). But many years later, they got to know each other again thanks to Facebook, and the way Ian put his loved ones first made a strong impression on Teresa.

Of course, as a dad to just Brenden at the time, there were a lot of things Ian did for him that would ultimately shape who he is today. Brenden was 2 and impressionable at the time, and now he is 15 and still has a great bond with his father, with Ian remaining the strongest father figure possible in Brenden’s life.

Then there is Lily, whose relationship with her father Teresa has gotten to see grow since day one. He is a girl dad when the time calls for it, and he just loves their 11-year-old from the bottom of his heart.

“He takes them shopping; to their sports practices and games; coached their sports teams; takes them to sleepovers, birthday parties, school dances; supports their interests,” Teresa said.

Ian is the ultimate chauffeur and he brings about a steadiness and a sense of reliability in Brenden and Lily’s lives. They are both lucky to have a father like him who always puts things aside when they need him, and he is a great role model too.

In fact, when his own kids are not learning from him, Ian’s wife is learning from him. She has become the best version of herself thanks to Ian, and that is all because she strives to be everything he deserves.

“He encourages me and pushes me to be a better wife and mom,” Teresa said.

Just seeing the way he sacrifices and works hard every day makes anyone want to be better versions of themselves. And whether he was helping his son through his heart transplant or is caring for his patients at the orthodontics lab, Ian wears his heart on his sleeve, and he does not ever make you feel like anything less than.

And now, Teresa gets to celebrate being married to the man of her dreams for 10 years, and she could not be happier. She appreciates her husband so much, and she cannot wait to spend the rest of her life with him.
