âAlways puts God first. If you canât say anything nice, donât say anything at all.â
To some, these life lessons might sound atypical. But to Jordan Wesch, it shows the culmination of who his mother is.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Lisa is a strong-willed, God-fearing, selfless and sacrificial mother to two boys, with two granddogs, Kobe and Kia, and they all love her to death. They appreciate everything she has ever done for them, and they are thankful for all the life lessons she has taught them along the way.
Growing up, Jordan and Jeremy always had their mom around. She was a stay-at-home mom who was focused on instilling faith and many other great values into her boys.
At the same time, she still found a way to instill the importance of a strong work ethic into the boys.
âMom always believes in hard work and perseverance when life gets tough,â Jordan said.
No matter what life throws your way, if you lean into your faith and keep on keeping on, there is nothing that can bring you down⊠even when your favorite college football team is constantly letting you down.
But seriously, there are not enough words on a page to get into all the important things Jordan has learned from his mother throughout life, but what he wants to remind her of is how much he owes his entire life to her. Not a day has gone by where he did not have his mother to count upon, and even though he and his brother are grown up and out of the house now, they still recall their motherâs teachings and all the things she has instilled in them.
This includes being a great friend who is loyal and devoted. No matter what is going on in her life, Lisa has always found a way to drop what she is doing to help someone in need. And that is the Jesus-loving woman that she is.
âMy mom always puts other people before herself,â Jordan said. âShe cares so much about her family.â
On top of being a wonderful mother, Lisa has always been a great daughter and sister, and her family appreciates her for how amazing she is.
Plus, she is a huge sports fan, which is the way to Jordanâs heart. He loves how his mom is four TVs deep during March Madness, and how she watches her beloved Florida State Seminoles every Saturday.
That, and the fact that she has always helped him solve problems. Even to this day, if there is something he cannot figure out, Lisa can and she will.
Jordan just loves and appreciates his mother so much, and he is glad that God picked her to be his mom.
âI love my mom more than words can describe. I know I can always count on her anytime something in my life comes up where Iâm unsure of what to do. She always has the answer and knows what to say. I canât thank her enough for everything she has done for me.â â Jordan
