The one thing that was always important to Richard Moore when looking for his future wife was that she needed to be strong in her convictions. He wanted to be with a Proverbs 31 woman and would not settle for less, and when it comes to his wife, Lisa, he got more than he bargained (and prayed) for.
“I admire how much she fights for her relationship with God and loves others,” Richard said.
From the moment he overheard Lisa having a conversation during their midweek church service, he knew she was special. He could tell that there is nothing more important to her than her walk with God, and that has not changed in the least.
“I admire her willingness to do things and serve me and our kids even though, at times, it’s the last thing she would want to do,” Richard mentioned.
No matter how tough Richard and their three boys make it on Lisa, she loves them unconditionally. She has a big heart in her, and she serves her family and others with a smile on her face at all times.
“I admire that she is very loving and sacrificial,” Richard said.
It does not matter what the situation is, Lisa is always finding ways to take care of others. She does so while uplifting and encouraging those around her, and just being that light she believes she is called to be.
She does all this while being a role model to Carson, Cooper and CJ too. Every day, those boys know they can count on their mom for anything, and they truly appreciate this fact.
“Lisa is honest and truthful to her kids,” Richard said. “She loves her boys deeply and with a momma bear spirit, and tries to do anything to protect her children, even if it means trying to protect them from themselves. Working full time, she still finds time to make dinner for the family every day of the week. We still often eat together as a family today and discuss life at the dinner table together.”
Togetherness has always been an integral part of their boys’ upbringing. Lisa has always emphasized the core values of faith, family and fun, and she has certainly lived out those values every single day.
She also believes in the biblical principle of honoring your spouse, and that is yet another thing Lisa does well.
“We are the true biblical definition of being ‘one flesh’ together,” Richard said. “She is my everything. I have learned so much from her and have grown so much because of her and her relationship with God and others. She makes living here on earth a little piece of heaven.”
You could say she is an angel on earth, and that is because she is a true God-fearing servant. She works hard, has multiple degrees, loves the great outdoors, and she is a reliable and compassionate individual. Lisa is truly everything you could ever want in your life partner, and that is why Richard is grateful to God every day that she is his wife.
“I want her to know that she is loved, cherished and valued over everything else in this world. I hope this story is something that she can read and be reminded about how amazing she is for the rest of her life.” – Richard
