Michele Waggoner carries a rare mix of toughness and warmth — an Air Force veteran who brings the same discipline and heart to raising her daughters, teaching her students, and showing up for the people she loves.
Her partner, Sean, says that combination is what makes her impossible not to admire.
“She is a great partner to be with and my source for comfort — someone who brings me happiness, love and purpose to my life every day,” Sean said. “Having her in my life is a gift I would never take for granted.”
Michele’s years of service left a lasting mark on how she parents, instilling values of discipline, responsibility and strength in her two daughters, alongside a steady stream of unconditional love and support.
As a teacher, that same balance shows up in her classroom — someone who holds high expectations while still creating space for her students to actually enjoy learning.
“Her dedication to family, selfless nature, and her ability to overcome challenges have made her not only a great mother, but also a great role model for both of her daughters,” Sean said.
What stands out most to those close to her, though, is a kind of steadiness that doesn’t announce itself. She’s tough, sure — but Sean says underneath that is someone who simply wants what’s best for everyone around her, and who shows up in big ways without needing recognition for it.
“There is a quiet resilience to Michele,” Sean said. “She doesn’t ever give up easily, and she knows how to push through challenges without losing her sense of care for others.”
