If you ever talk to Jeff Wilkie, chances are he has told you about his wife, Debbie. And that is because he has a hard time going too long without mentioning how amazing she is. She is the most wonderful person he has ever met, and she is certainly the woman of his dreams.
From their first meeting at Earls three and a half years ago to their engagement in Waterton 15 months later and their subsequent marriage 15 months after that in Calgary, life has certainly not been the same since March 1, 2022. Jeff and Debbie spend every moment possible together, and they truly love each other well more than words can describe.
In fact, it is during their hiking adventures in the Kananaskis every weekend where they truly get to know each other… and where they fall more and more in love with each other. The reality is, as long as the two of them are together, they are happy.
If you ask Jeff, he will tell you loving his wife is the easiest thing ever. It is not just because of their shared love of traveling either, but because she is someone who always has his back. She encourages Jeff day in and day out, and she is truly his better half.
Debbie is someone who treats all those around her very well too. She is reliable and someone you can always count on and get along with.
“She is always there to listen,” Jeff said. “Debbie is always there to pull her weight with work or chores. She makes time to check in with loved ones to ensure they are okay too. She is friendly and easy to talk to.”
Long story short: Debbie is someone you want in your corner. She is someone who will show selfless sacrifice toward the people she cares about each and every day, and she is someone who loves with the entirety of her heart.
She has a great overall personality too. Debbie has a serious side, but at the same time she makes the most out of life and does not take everything too seriously. She sees the glass as half full and is just super easy to get along with.
“She is funny, goofy, active, comfortable in groups, and loves hosting,” Jeff said.
If you spend any sort of quality time with Debbie, chances are you are going to have a good time and share some laughs.
Speaking of quality time, Debbie has always ensured she spends ample quality time with her sons throughout the years. She is a mom who has done a great job raising them, and Jeff knows they appreciate how much their mother has done for them.
“She teaches her boys how to be men,” Jeff said. “She embraced our extended family wholeheartedly. She always has time and energy to make sure all the kids are okay.”
Blended families do not always mesh well, but thanks to the amazingness of Debbie, she and Jeff’s family had no problems with that.
What Jeff has also had no problem with is learning from his wife. Debbie has set a great example not only for the kids, but for him as well, and he could not be more grateful for this fact.
“I have learned what it means to love someone and to be loved by someone,” Jeff said. “I have learned how to be a true partner and work together and communicate together to live our best lives.”
Debbie makes it look easy, and she makes loving her easy.
Jeff just appreciates every aspect of his awesome woman. She is his soulmate who he has always been drawn to for many reasons. “Her smile, her beauty, her warmth, and her resistance to recycle.”
“She means everything to me,” Jeff added. “She is my soulmate. I cannot live without her.”
Three and a half years ago, Jeff’s life changed forever. It changed for the better, and he cannot remember what it was like before Debbie entered it. He is forever grateful for her, and he wants her to realize he will not ever stop loving her.
He also wants her to realize that there are no bad qualities about her. From her natural beauty to her huge heart, nothing is stopping Debbie from being the most beloved individual in the lives of many.
“I appreciate her kindness, her intelligence and her work ethic,” Jeff said. “I appreciate the way she loves and supports me, and the fact that we are a true team.”
Debbie is the yin to Jeff’s yang, and she is a person who cannot be replaced in his life. He loves her so much, and he knows the kids and everyone else all around them have such a great fondness for Debbie.
