Everlasting Kindness: Gracie is the kind of dog who is leaving people with full and appreciative hearts, and that is because of the kind of life she lived

Gracie the dog with a pink porcupine stuffed animal

Gracie exuded kindness and acceptance. She always made new people feel like old friends, which is the opposite of many dogs. She also is leaving behind an impactful life; one where she never met a stranger and always showed people what love looked like.

“Gracie was a very caring and loving dog,” Ryan, Gracie’s owner Sarah’s boyfriend, said. “Gracie would comfort you in any and every way. She would lick the drops of water off your toes when you got out of the shower as if to help you dry off. Gracie would want to play when we were sad to help cheer us up. Gracie was always comforting. Gracie had a big heart. The opposite of the Grinch.”

If you ever needed a pick-me-up, Gracie was the dog to have in your life. She was so sweet and such a happy-go-lucky kind of dog. She would chase squirrels away and sunbathe, soaking up rays while always staying by Sarah’s side.

Her kisses and cuddles were a big part of who she was. Gracie would keep her loved ones close, and she had a knack for living her best life all the time.

When she was not chasing after her toys or choking on water, Gracie was relaxing and chilling. She was a very laid-back dog with a true enjoyment for life.

“Gracie would like to run around and bite our toes and chase toys,” Ryan said. “She was a chihuahua and terrier mix. Gracie loved chilling in the pool with us when we were in. She had a great, easy life. Gracie got along with any person or dog she ever met.”

She had the softest kiss and the gentlest heart, and the number of memories Gracie made were incalculable.

“One time during a walk, I let her off her leash and she chased a baby duck back into a pond and they just sat there and stared at each other as if they had just defeated the other,” Ryan said.

That’s Gracie. She was a puppy at heart but a dog in flesh, and she was very much beloved.

Her legacy is one of acceptance and kindness. Treating everyone right was all Gracie knew how to do, as was just being there for her loved ones. She was the kind of dog who truly was like family, and she will never be forgotten.

“I have come to love Gracie through meeting Sarah. Gracie was loved by all who met her and she was honestly one of the most genuine and caring dogs I have ever known. She will be missed by all who were engulfed in her presence.” – Ryan
