Jennifer Szatkowski is a business owner who works countless hours perfecting her cotton candy concoctions, but even more importantly, she is a devoted wife and mother who always shows up. Her husband Joshua and daughter Olive agree that Jennifer is the family glue. She holds them together and keeps the train on the tracks each and every day.
“She means everything,” Joshua said. “She is the heartbeat. She is what keeps us going.”
Any time they are struggling with anything, they either go to Jennifer or they think to themselves, “What would she do?” She always seems to have the answers and she always seems to know the right things to say.
Jennifer is also a rockstar mother who Olive raves about. She appreciates so much about her mother, and she looks up to her and loves spending time with her.
“She’s nice,” Olive said. “She’s cheering. She puts me to bed. She always takes care of me before anybody else. Mom helps me with school stuff. She smells good. She is pretty. She’s silly. She makes Jolly Rancher cotton candy.”
Everything Olive needs her for, Jennifer is there. She is a hands-on, present mother, and the way she juggles everything in life is admirable.
She is certainly focused on making memories with Olive as well. Whether she is looking like a chipmunk while indoor skydiving or going on the Hogwarts ride at Universal, Jennifer makes life fun and memorable for her 9-year-old.
“We like cooking together,” Olive said. “We prepare dinner together a lot. We like making fettuccine alfredo with chicken. We like shopping days. She picks me up from school. We recently went and got our nails done together. She makes sure I’m where I have to be.”
Jennifer keeps on top of Olive’s schedule, and she does the same for Joshua as well. She is also a role model to them both – from her selflessness to her just always being there for them, they look up to her for countless reasons.
One of these countless reasons is because of the way Jennifer balances everything. The way she handles doing all the things she does in life and still finds time for the little things is absolutely astonishing.
“She’s working all the time. She’s always juggling many different things,” Joshua said. “Over the weekend she was making cotton candy while Olive was at practice. She’s always trying to juggle things. She recently went to the cancer center and handed out cotton candy.”
Amidst it all, Jennifer is always thinking of other people. She gave up her time and her resources to help bring a little joy to the faces of people going through the toughest battles of their lives. That is something none of them will ever forget, and it is something that Joshua and Olive will remember about Jennifer for a while.
What they will also always associate with Jennifer is the way she treats everyone else. No matter what walk of life they come from and no matter how well she knows them, she just has a great heart.
“You could put her in any environment and she’ll adapt to it,” Olive said. “Sometimes she helps me with my contacts. She’s just tenderhearted.”
Of course, her work ethic is something else too. Jennifer is a Verizon salesperson on top of running Flossy’s Sweet Tooth, and in each of those roles she gives it her all.
“I admire her love and drive that she puts into everything,” Joshua said. “I love how she commits herself to being fully into whatever she is working on.”
Joshua also admires everything else about his wonderful wife. She is the love of his life and she brings out the best in him every day, and she is the same woman he fell in love with years ago.
Olive is also infatuated with her mother as she knows she is the best. She helps her know and understand that she can do anything she sets her mind to, and one day Olive is going to be a strong-willed, independent woman because of her mother.
At the end of the day, there is no one quite like Jennifer Szatkowski. Her drive and determination to always succeed and always provide is irreplaceable, and she is the best of the best.
“Olive and I wanted to show how much you mean to us and we wanted to share how much we love you!”
