‘Forever Young’: Jessica means absolutely everything to Darrel, and he is so glad she chose to spend a lifetime with him

Jessica Young is her husband Darrel’s rock and his foundation. She is everything he lives for, and she is his number one supporter.

From being there for him when he was disappointed after getting cut by the Chicago Bears to bringing a beautiful daughter, Dallas, into the world with Darrel, Jessica has been there for him through all the good times and all the bad.

But Darrel is not the only person Jessica is there for 24/7. She is also someone who loves to spend time with family and going on vacations and adventuring with Darrel and some of their friends.

“Jessica loves to travel with her family and friends,” Darrel said. “We have visited several countries together, including Mexico (two times), the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. She loves to host for holidays and cook during her free time. She also loves to bargain shop, which I appreciate. She also loves to attend sporting events and concerts because she knows that I love it.”

Of course, part of marrying a former NFL player is going to football games amongst many other sporting events, and Jessica is happy to go to any game as long as Darrel and Dallas are with her.

Jessica is also a woman with a great personality. Her character is amazing, and everything about her is remarkable. There is not a thing Darrel does not love and appreciate about his wife.

“Jessica is affable, amicable, caring, thoughtful, beautiful, classy, precious, impressive, irreplaceable, trustworthy, understanding and sweet,” he said. “She has an ability to have everyone in the room love her with her loving personality and dimplez. Her nickname was Dimplez. I married my best friend and lover. She has been through it all with me.”

Darrel has always been able to rely on Jessica and lean on her in the good times and the bad, as he knows she has the sweetest personality with an extra touch of care. She would go to the ends of the earth for Darrel, and the feeling is mutual.

She is also a wonderful mother to Dallas, and Darrel is so thankful for that. He loves how much Jessica does for Dallas, and he knows that she would do anything for their little girl.

“Jessica provides support, shows loving qualities, is a role model, teaches responsibility, provides a range of experience in life, and shows respect to our daughter,” Darrel said. “She is raising a woman by what she learned from her mother and my mother.”

Jessica is just like her own mother, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Considering how Jessica turned out, the way she was raised clearly worked well, and Darrel knows it will bode well for Dallas.

“She is a great daughter because she has a loving heart,” Darrel said. “Her mother was her rock. Her mother provided a foundation that has inspired her to be the best wife and mother she can be. She cooks, cleans, provides and sacrifices everyday.”

And those sacrifices spread far and wide. From being a supportive and selfless wife and mother to a friend who is always there for others, there is nothing Jessica would not do for the people she cares about.

“I love that she always has my back,” Darrel said. “She encourages me to be better on a daily basis. She makes me communicate, even when I don’t want to. She has OCD. She is very mature, open, honest and has integrity, is respectful, shows affection, empathy, and has a sense of humor. I can call her and laugh about anything at any given time. She also holds me accountable to doing the right things in life. I love her for it.”

Jessica wants what is best for everyone, and she is going to make sure that you are always doing the right thing. She looks out for others in that way, and she also draws people close to her because of her smile and her optimism.

Jessica has also made many memories with her husband in their 11-plus years together. Any moment with her has a chance to be memorable, and Darrel loves that.

“I taught Jessica how to drive,” he said. “She drove my dad’s car in high school for the first time. My favorite memory, however, is when I proposed. The expression on her face was priceless. I threw her a birthday party a month before I proposed and she thought I was going to do it there… I threw a random BBQ a month later and proposed in front of loved ones.”

Darrel certainly knows his wife well, as Jessica is a people first kind of person. She loves her family and friends so much, and having them witness their proposal was special to her.

And of course, just like Jessica loves her family and friends, they all love her. They appreciate her far beyond belief, and Darrel and Dallas in particular are glad they get to spend every single day with Jessica. She is the matriarch of the Young house and she means the world to them.

“Jessica, I love you with all of my heart. I don’t want to know what it’s like to have a life without you. I choose you and I’ll choose you over and over and over without pause without a doubt in my heartbeat. You don’t love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear. You’re that once in a lifetime dream come true.” – Darrel
