Heart & Soul: Sara Hillman is a family woman, a compassionate woman, and a Godly woman

“My favorite memory that sticks out the most is the first time that I saw her. I knew she was the one.”

Before Jason first laid eyes on Sara, he might have told you it is crazy to believe in love at first sight. But then he saw his future wife at their friend’s wedding and his whole perspective changed. Jason’s life changed forever at that wedding (despite Sara thinking his name was John at first).

On their first date at O’Charley’s they started talking about the future, and once they realized their futures aligned with one another, it did not take much more for each other to confirm this was who God meant them to be with. They fell in love quickly, meshed their lives together, and have not looked back since.

For Jason, loving Sara is the easiest thing he has ever done in his life. She is a strong, faithful woman of God, and he – along with so many others – appreciates the dedication Sara shows on a daily basis.

“She stands strong in her beliefs,” Jason’s mother Denise said.

Denise was more than happy to welcome Sara into the family, and that goes to show how special this woman truly is. She is a faithful servant and a wonderful family woman, and there is not a single person in her life who does not appreciate her.

In being a family woman, Denise instills the right morals and values into her children each and every day. She is the kind of mother who is hands on and who is always supporting their kids.

“Sara is a devoted Christian and keeps those morals and values in our family,” Jason said. “She is dedicated, loving and caring for our family and others around us.”

Being a mother to three children is no easy task, but Sara makes it look that way. The way she runs the kids to where they need to go while keeping them and the house in check, Jason cannot help but admire her for.

Their kids all realize it too, and they see their mother as a role model. She is someone they look up to and consider a confidante, and that is because she has always been there and has always provided for them.

“She is a fierce ‘mama bear’ when it comes to protecting her children,” Denise said.

Sara is always going to stand up for her children and support and protect them at all costs, and that is not something the people in her life take for granted. Everyone around Sara sees this and realizes how thoughtful and caring of a mother she truly is.

This thoughtfulness and caring mindset is not exclusive to her children either. Sara is the kind of wife, family member and friend that is going to have your back and stick in your corner no matter what. If she cares about you, she is going to be there for you.

“She is the most thoughtful, caring, dedicated, loving person I have ever met,” Jason said. “She is the rock that holds me and the family together. She will do anything for our friends and family.”

Sara is a great motivator too. She tends to push people beyond the norm and help them achieve their goals.

As a wife in particular, she keeps Jason levelheaded. She has been keeping Jason on the straight and narrow, and he does not even want to begin to imagine where his life would be without Sara.

“She stands by my son in good times and bad,” Denise said.

Every good quality you can think of, you can assume Sara possesses it. She is truly one of the good ones, and this shows even in her career.

“Sara went to school to be a nurse and now she is an RN for IU Health,” Jason said. “And that is what her heart brought her to be. She loves taking care of people. She worked in the maternity ward for a couple years, taking care of mothers and babies.”

Sara is always finding ways to be sacrificial and give everyone else her all. She has the biggest heart and she has such compassion for people.

To many, she might just be an Indiana girl who loves watching sports with her family and cuddling with her husband, but to the people that mean the most to her, Sara Hillman is much more than that. She is the heart and soul of her family, and she is the most irreplaceable presence they could ever ask for.

“What I would like her to know is that she is the love of my life and the rock that holds our family together. We wouldn’t be where we are as a family without her.” – Jason
