To her loved ones, she is the most special person in the world. Paulette Herkert is a very family-oriented woman known for her holiday traditions of cooking big meals and baking Christmas cookies. She just loves her family with all her heart, and anyone who knows her knows she would do anything for anyone.
“I admire her unconditional love,” Paulette’s son James said. “She’s caring and compassionate.”
From the times she volunteered at the zoo, helped her husband run the family hosiery business, and smiles during get-togethers with family and/or friends, her heart certainly looms large. She gets a kick out of seeing others happy, and Paulette just loves being around people.
Speaking of being around people, Paulette loves any time she gets to spend with her husband, sister, children and grandchildren. Whether she is going to Cubs spring training games with James or settling in at her sister’s place during the summers, as long as she is around the people she loves, she is happy.
Of course, as a grandmother, there is no one more suited than her either. Paulette loves those five kids with all her heart, and all the things that have made her a wonderful mother somehow make her an even greater grandmother.
“She is always there when you need her,” James said. “And sometimes when you don’t.”
Growing up, James and his siblings always knew they had their mother in their corner. Paulette encouraged them to dream big and live by the golden rule, and the morals and values she instilled in them are not overlooked.
“Her heart is huge and the joy she has around family gatherings where everyone is together,” James mentioned as his favorite qualities of his mom. “She gets her joy from watching others be happy.”
It might seem overemphasized, but that is because it is a huge part of who Paulette is. If other people are happy, so is she, as she definitely lives life the right way.
She is someone you genuinely want to be around too. She is a saint of a woman and someone who is reliable and dependable, and she is definitely going to have your back at all times.
She has a knack for making memories too. Whether it was the time she was the happiest she could be during their 4th of July family outing in the 80s or whether she is yelling “Top Dollar,” every moment with Paulette is bound to be memorable.
She is just a truly special person whose family and friends cherish her so much, and she means the world to her loved ones.
“She means everything,” James said. “I don’t tell her enough, but I love her very much.”
James, along with many others, do not know what they would do without Paulette Herkert. Because of this fact, and countless others, they want to celebrate Paulette on this birthday and every other day, because she deserves it!
