Jeremy & Jill: A Love Meant to Be

For Jeremy and Jill, their journey started long before they even realized it—growing up in the same Western New York neighborhood, sharing the same spaces, yet never truly crossing paths in a meaningful way. Jill was a standout athlete, excelling in softball and volleyball, carving out a name for herself. Jeremy, on the other hand, left Western New York and joined the United States Marine Corps and never imagined that years later, she would become the love of his life.

Fast forward to 2020, when fate intervened through social media. A reconnection on Facebook quickly reignited something neither of them expected. Their first date at Remington Tavern & Seafood Exchange felt like picking up a conversation that had been paused for years. The warmth of their rediscovered connection left Jeremy with no doubt that Jill was the one.

By 2024, their love story had reached its most unforgettable chapter yet. Jeremy knew that he wanted to spend forever with Jill, and what better way to propose than at a Yankees game in the Bronx, during Game Three of the World Series? Surrounded by the energy of their favorite team and a stadium full of passionate fans.

Now engaged and living together in North Carolina, Jeremy and Jill’s love continues to grow. Their lives are filled with shared passions, whether it’s watching their beloved Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees, working out together, playing catch, or taking swings at the batting cages.

Jill’s dedication extends beyond their relationship; she is an incredible mother to her two children, Brody and Lily, and an amazing role model to Jeremy’s daughter, Sarah. She brings discipline, compassion, and an unwavering positive attitude to every aspect of her life.

Jill’s work ethic is nothing short of inspiring. Waking up at 4 a.m. five days a week, she leads her Publix bakery department with determination, never allowing herself to be outworked. Jill is the kind of person who never backs down from a challenge.

“In every way, she helps elevate me to be a better person,” Jeremy said.

Jeremy admires so many things about Jill, like the way she never changes based on external factors, her ability to stay consistent and focused, her selflessness, and the love she pours into everything she does. She has shown him what it means to be a true partner, someone who not only supports, but also elevates those around her. Jill’s influence has made Jeremy a better man, pushing him to stay disciplined, healthy, and always striving for more.

There are countless memories that make up their love story, like the time Jill confidently believed she’d be warm enough at the Bills-Bengals playoff game, only to nearly freeze, or the moment when she tripped over her own legs and resembled a giraffe.

But the memory that stands out is the time Jeremy saved her life. After making a beef meal, Jill suddenly found herself choking. Without hesitation, Jeremy jumped into action, performing the Heimlich and saving her. His calm, almost nonchalant reaction afterward sitting back down and saying, “You’re welcome. Now you can never leave me because I saved your life.”

Through all the laughter, love, and life’s unpredictable twists, Jeremy knows one thing with absolute certainty: he was meant to be with Jill.

“I knew Jill was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with the first time she left to visit her family, and she wasn’t physically close to me,” said Jeremy. “I actually felt ill without her. I knew at that point that, not only did I want to spend the rest of my life with her, but knew I couldn’t live without her.”

Jeremy wants Jill to know that she is his soulmate, his best friend, and the greatest blessing in his life. He recognizes all the sacrifices she has made, the love she has given, and the unwavering support she has shown. And in return, he promises to always stand by her side, to cherish her, and to love her unconditionally.

“I would like Jill to know that she is my soulmate and there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of how lucky I am. I would want her to know that I know what she has sacrificed and lost for me, and I will never let her down. Whatever she needs from me, I would do whatever I could to get it for her.” – Jeremy
