Lori Baeza is the heart of her family—the person everyone turns to, the one who always shows up, and the rock that holds everything together. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she has spent her life caring for those she loves, offering unwavering support, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Born to Debby and Tom Lowe, Lori grew up in Horton, Kansas, surrounded by a loving family. Some of her fondest childhood memories are gardening and listening to Royals games with her grandpa Jesse and baking and playing piano with her grandma Lucille. A lifelong fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals, Lori’s passion for her hometown teams is just one of the many things that make her so special.
“She is everyone’s person,” said her husband Gilbert Baeza. “She is incredibly smart, an amazing cook, a problem solver, and maybe just a little frugal. But above all, she is loving, loyal, and the most incredible partner I could ever ask for.”
Lori has built a successful career as a regional district administrator for Safety-Kleen, a role that brought her and Gilbert together.
Their love story began at work, but it quickly became so much more. They’ve shared countless unforgettable moments—vacations with family and friends, cookouts, pool parties, road trips, and quiet nights watching movies and sports together. Through every challenge, they’ve faced life as a team, growing stronger and closer with each passing year.
“She has always been by my side, no matter what,” Gilbert said. “We’ve been through some really tough times, especially in the past few years, but her strength, love, and determination have never wavered. She loves and cares almost to a fault, and her ‘never give up’ attitude inspires me every day.”
As a mother to Keli and Damon and a grandmother to Jaxson and Aiden, Lori is the foundation of her family. She is the one who makes every holiday special and every challenge seems a little easier to face. Her love and devotion to her family know no bounds, and they are endlessly grateful for the kindness, wisdom, and warmth she brings into their lives.
“She is everyone’s ALL,” said Gilbert. “An amazing, loving, loyal person to all of children and grandchildren, Lori is always there.”
Over the years, Lori and Gilbert have built a life filled with love, laughter and inside jokes, including what they love to say to each other, “What did you do?” and follow by quoting their amazing daughter by saying “Oh dang!”
These small moments, along with the big ones, are what make their love so special.
Gilbert would like Lori to know that the love she expresses to those around her, and how much she cares about her family and friends, are what makes him a better person.
Gilbert also said that her smartness, her ability to be an amazing problem solver, and her strong beliefs and spirit are what he admires about her every day.
“I would just like you to know that despite all of the hardships and tough times, our love has only gotten stronger, and I have only fallen more in love with you as the years passed by.” – Gilbert
