Susan Messina is a wonderful mom who has made a career out of caring for others and serving as a positive role model. She has devoted her life to supporting her family and students.
A study in determination, Susan has helped mold her sons into responsible and caring adults. Even though she sometimes had to get tough with her boys while growing up, they realize now that she was always fair and had their best interests at heart.
Susan is very encouraging and positive with those around her. She’s always set a good example by doing the right things, treating people properly and letting her sons know if they said something inappropriate.
Mothering comes naturally to Susan, as she demonstrates with her sons and grandchildren, her students and her tireless efforts to help her husband in his battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
In addition to showering her family with love and understanding, she is also caring with virtually everyone she meets along the way.
“Mom is a wonderful role model that is present, involved, helpful, understanding and dedicated,” said her son Jason.
Susan enjoys working in her yard, running and walking at the park, and especially spending time with her husband, sons and grandchildren as well as taking care of her beloved cat, Murphy. Susan loves family get-togethers, especially Thanksgiving.
Susan is committed to her family and students. She sets an admirable example as an individual that is thoughtful and very understanding. At work she helps lead classes and helps children with behavioral issues control themselves. She has been instrumental in helping her own sons and students to lead productive lives.
“She has definitely taught me what it means to be dedicated and determined, despite challenging life circumstances,” Jason said. “I think she has taught both me and my brother to not give up when faced with tough situations.”
Susan is an expert at keeping her composure. She always appears calm, cool and collected on the surface even during turbulent times. She embodies serenity and offers strength, love and determination.
That is, unless bugs are involved. Jason and David have enjoyed playing many pranks on her through the years.
“Mom has such a fear of bugs that we’ve had many laughs placing either a fake or dead bug in random places for her to find just to see her reaction.” Jason said.
The proof that Susan is a great mother is proven by Jason and David growing into good people that are self-sufficient and make the right choices in life.
“Mom has always been there for us, embodying the spirit of what a mom should be,” Jason said. “Even though I may not say it often, I love you and am proud that you are my mother, and we couldn’t have asked for a better one!”
