Mother-Son Bond: Crystal is a top-notch mother who loves her son so much, and he appreciates her now more than ever

She took him to his first Eagles game at 11 because she knew how much cheering them on meant to him. Then, 10 years later, they attended another Eagles game together, which was the same season they won their first Super Bowl and they threw a huge Super Bowl party with friends and family.

She also took him to Hawaii at 16 on their first big vacation outside their home state. They rode jet skis, parasailed, snorkeled, swam with dolphins, ate good meals, and just had a great time. Then, a year later, she took him to Las Vegas where real life Fruit Ninja was not the best idea…

All of this is to say that Crystal Lewelling has always done everything to ensure her son is living the best life possible. She worked hard all her life and saved up whenever she could in order for them to have fun times together, but Zac will tell you it is not about the money or the destination–it is about being there with his mom and spending time with her.

“We have always had a great relationship, and we have always supported each other throughout life, no matter the circumstances,” he said. “Growing up, I was always able to lean on her and trust her, and that made for a great childhood experience. I love that she chose to raise me with love and discipline that I could carry with me throughout the rest of my life.”

Zac said that his relationship with his mother has continued to evolve as he has gotten older, and she is someone he still relies on to this day. Whether he needs advice or a shoulder to lean on, his mom is there to support him.

And this is all because of how amazing a person Crystal is as a whole. From her faith in God to her love of life and toward others, there is nothing bad to say about this woman.

“She likes to cook, travel, spend time with family, and worship the Lord,” Zac said.

Zac said he appreciates the fact that his mother raised him in church and as a Christian. It provided him with the foundation that he has today, and his walk with God is not something he takes for granted.

He does not take his relationship with his mother for granted either, as she is someone he looks up to and appreciates every single day.

“She is very intelligent, focused and driven,” Zac said. “She is also very empathetic and always willing to help people in need. She has a big heart. She raised me very well. She was loving and caring, but also firm and instilled great values within me.”

Growing up, Zac had two stepbrothers in the house as well, and looking back at it he appreciates how his mom raised them as her own. She did not ever treat any of them differently, and while the bond between Zac and Crystal is second to none, the bond she has with his stepbrothers is special too.

Without his mother, Zac does not know who he would be today. He knows that so much of who he is has everything to do with his mother, and he wants her to know that she did a great job.

“I would like her to know that she did an excellent job of raising me, to not only have had a wonderful childhood, but she also gave me important life skills that have helped me grow and develop as a human being personally and professionally as an adult. I have so many great memories throughout my childhood, and it was because my mother always supported me.” – Zac
