‘My Life. My World.’: Brandon does not know where he would be without his wife, Corrin

Corrin and the Glass kids

At first, they were just two people going through similar walks of life who were in the right place at the right time. Then, they became so much more than that, and that is all thanks to Brandon’s better half, Corrin.

When they first met, Brandon and Corrin were working at Gettysburg Family Restaurant. Brandon always had a thing for Corrin, but the timing was not right right away. Once it was, however, things moved quickly because they both realized how right they were for one another.

“Corrin pushes me to be a better man than I was the day before,” Brandon said. “She is also a very empathetic person and has kind of subconsciously passed that onto me. She supports me in whatever endeavor I encounter. She has taught me a lot about unconditional love and forgiveness.”

Every day, the Glass couple builds each other up. They are there for one another as pillars of support, and they want what is best for the other.

At the same time, Brandon is grateful he gets to witness his wife as a mother each and every day. This preschool teacher by day is a wonderful mother to three and stepmother to two, and this blended family of seven has a true matriarch in Corrin.

“The way she values her children and puts them above everyone,” Brandon said when asked how he knew Corrin was the one. “She makes sure that everyone in our house has what they need and want as much as possible. She has a very crude sense of humor just like I do. She loves to cook for me. She worries about all the small things, which gives me the opportunity to worry about the bigger things in our life.

“Her personality is very laid back and easy going, but can flip a switch when/if needed. She is also a big Yankees fan like myself and can sit and watch a full nine-inning baseball game.”

Basically, Corrin is everything Brandon could have ever dreamed of or imagined in a woman. She brings him so much peace and joy, and he knows she puts the children first in every situation. No matter what is going on, the five of them are always taken care of, and they all look up to her for this very reason.

Everyone in Corrin’s life also looks up to her because of her personality. She is not only a selfless individual, but she has an amazing work ethic and sense of compassion.

“She’s a strong woman with a big heart,” Brandon said. “She would do anything for anyone in need. She’s always putting others above herself. Corrin goes the ‘extra mile’ even when it isn’t necessary. I admire her love for our kids and myself.”

Brandon also admires all the special memories he has shared with his wife. While some (getting lost in the New York subway system at 1 AM) may have been scarier than others (slow dancing on Sanibel Island), they are all memorable because of Corrin. Life with her is so wonderful, and Brandon is grateful they entered each other’s lives at just the right time.

“You are my world. Without you I am not complete. We may not be perfect, but we strive to be. We learn and we grow together, and there is not one single person in this world that I would rather spend the rest of my life with than you. I am forever grateful for you and I hope we get to experience growing old together and seeing the fruits of our labor.” – Brandon
