My Love, My Life: From the moment Danya entered Brian’s life, it was changed for the better

She is smart, confident and practical. She is compassionate and passionate. She is everyone’s veterinary surgeon.

This woman – Dr. Dayna Middlestead – is the love of Brian’s life and the one person a lot of people could not live without.

“She means so much to me because she has my back for everything,” Brian said. “She brings me up when I’m feeling down and/or lonely. If ever I question myself on where my life/career is at, she is right there to reassure me that everything that has happened in my life led me to where I’m at now.”

With Danya in his life, Brian has a constant reminder of how far he has come. He is thankful for the fact that he has come a long way with the love of his life who, by the way, he was scared to swipe right on at first. Between what he calls his “neanderthal” ideas and the duds of dates he had through Tinder before, he was a little afraid.

Brian also knew that Danya was a veterinary surgeon, and that is a fact about her he has really come to love. He has always joked that he loves animals more than humans, meanwhile his wife shows her absolute love for animals AND humans on a daily basis.

“From an outside point of view, you can see she is passionate outside of work,” Brian said. “To me, that is one of the many things I see from her is her all around passion for animals in general, but definitely dogs. The one thing I really like about her as a veterinary surgeon is she looks out for the health of the dog. She doesn’t provide a service, but provides healthcare. She wants to get the dog healthy rather than make a dollar and sell the dog’s parents meds or services.”

That connectability and lovingness really make Danya shine. She has genuine care for animals and she looks out for their best interests first and foremost.

Dr. Middlestead does not just do this in a veterinarian capacity either. She is a dog mom who loves having her dogs by her side. One of them, Chooch, has helped her get through clinicals and so much more, and the other two, Willow and Boba, have joined along for the ride too.

When it comes to her as a wife, Danya is also one of one. She loves spending time with her husband and making memories with him.

“I think what’s great is she is not afraid to get her hands dirty,” Brian said. “One spring we were gardening and she came to me and said her hands were hurting. She wasn’t wearing gloves… She’s willing to help out family and friends with everything. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty. She changes her own oil and brake pads. She is not a master of none, but a master of many – a true jack of all trades. She loves sports too as she is an avid Phillies fan.”

There is a lot to love about this woman, and that is why Danya is the love of Brian’s life. He cares so much about her, and whether they are hitting up Disney World for their honeymoon and vacations or sitting at home relaxing, just being in her presence is enough for Brian.

“I just want my wife to know that I love her so much and that she really is my best friend. I’m here for her for anything as well as that I will always have her back. I believe in her and her skills without a doubt. I trust her medical advice and expertise. I really can’t wait to see what the future brings for us.” – Brian
