‘My Rock’: Starlite Reed is the “best wife and grandmother ever” according to her adoring husband

“From the moment I saw her I knew I could spend the rest of my life with her.”

When this is how your husband feels about you, you know you are doing something right. And in Starlite Reed’s case, her husband Marc loves her with all his heart because she is the most devoted, loving individual he has ever known.

Whether she is taking care of their children, grandchild, her friends, or anyone else, Starlite’s selflessness shines through at all times. She is the most amazing housewife Marc could ask for, and their five children would all agree with this fact. There is not a day that passes where Starlite is not shining her love and dedication onto them, and they appreciate that.

“I admire the ability to put up with me through all the years… just kidding… kind of,” Marc joked. “What I admire most is how she cares for all our children. If we’re somewhere, she makes sure every kid is taken care of. She takes extra toys; treats, whatever the situation just in case there are other kids there.”

Not only is Starlite constantly keeping her own kids’ best interests in mind, but other people’s kids as well. She goes above and beyond to make sure every need is met and that no person goes without.

Speaking of her children, there are five children in the Reed family – four girls and one boy ranging from 21 down to 7. With such a wide range of ages, it can be difficult to keep up with each child’s needs, but when your mother is as amazing as Starlite, that kind of stuff is second nature.

“What makes her a great mom is the work she puts into the kids – baseball practice; basketball for the two young ones; the schoolwork. She’s always putting all the kids’ needs first.”

And now she gets to do the same for her granddaughter, Ivy, and her second granddaughter due in March. Starlite is a true matriarch who lives for her husband, children and grandchildren, and there is nothing she would not do for any of them.

Marc is especially grateful for his wife, not only for her sacrifices, but for her support. He does not ever have to worry about her holding down the fort at home while he is working all the hours he does at work, and that is something he does not take for granted.

“I will always love her and couldn’t imagine my life without her.” – Marc
