Jennifer Holtz and her boys

Jennifer Holtz is definitely one of the good ones. She is a tremendous wife and mother who would do anything for her family, and the way her three boys (her husband and two sons) speak of her, you cannot help but realize how appreciative they truly are to have Jennifer as the cornerstone of their lives.

“Mom taught me how to work hard and have a strong work ethic,” her son Lucas said. “Without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, I would not be where I am today or as successful in my chosen career path without her. She is the definition of pull yourself up by the bootstraps and keep on moving.”

Lucas and his brother, Brenden, are both in their early 20s, and they both recognize their mom as their number one confidante and role model. They both look up to Jennifer and realize that she is the reason for all the good things they have in life, and they also know they will not stop needing their mother no matter what.

They also know that they can always look back on the life lessons their mother taught them and exude themselves as strong, independent, well-mannered, kind young men.

“Mom makes us better people by leading by example,” Brenden said. “She has always been a fantastic role model and someone to look up to. She taught us right from wrong and to be respectful and polite to everyone we come across in life. There is no better role model than Mom.”

Jennifer is all about being helpful and hardworking too. She does not settle for anything less than, and she expects much the same from her boys. As an educator of almost 30 years, Jennifer has put her best foot forward day in and day out and been someone her boys truly take after.

Even her husband, Chris, takes after his wife. He appreciates everything she does for him, and he is grateful to be married to someone who all their children can look up to, as well as someone he can learn from.

“Jennifer’s selfless and helpful nature can be summed up by the fact that she was helping advocate for my autistic son within a month of meeting me,” Chris said. “Jennifer has no pre-conditions on being stepmother to my three kids and is always keen to help. Jennifer’s dedication and ‘ride or die’ attitude to those she loves is unmatched. Jennifer has never judged me and has made me feel worthwhile.”

As Jennifer’s “short king,” Chris is big and bold in her eyes. She sees him as someone deserving of love and affection, and in their short time of knowing each other (four and a half years), Chris has felt like he has known his wife for a lifetime.

“Mom is always there for you no matter where, what or when you need,” her boys said. “She’s there and she has a solution. She’ll do anything she can to help anybody out in a pinch. She is also loyal to a fault, kind and an extremely hard worker.”

There is not much that cannot be said about Jennifer. She has taught her boys everything they need to know, she has taught Chris’s kids that family is not always blood, and she has taught Chris that you can meet your soulmate at any stage of your life.

She has also shown the importance of being present in her family’s lives. She has been the kind of hands-on mom who – despite working long, hard hours all the time – always finds time to put her boys first. Lucas and Brenden are lucky to have a mom like her, and they recognize this now more than ever.

“Mom has always been there for us for every game; award ceremony; field trip,” Lucas said. “Every big moment in life thus far, she has been there. She (for the most part) always knew what to say and when to say it, and she would stop at nothing to give us all the tools necessary to be successful and tackle life.”

If you are looking for some solid life advice, chances are you can get that out of Jennifer Holtz. She tends to know what you need, and she can be a good shoulder to cry on too.

Her dependability, loyalty and devotion are just a few more of the great qualities that Jennifer possesses too. She is there for everyone in every situation and in every capacity, and her reliability cannot be overstated.

“Many things make mom a good mother including her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help her kids out with anything,” Brenden said. “She’s the type of woman to put her kids above everything else life throws her way, and she always offers her unwavering support.”

This kind of sacrifice can come only from a truly compassionate individual, which is why Jennifer is so great at making sacrifices. She gives up so much of herself to take care of others and help out, and she is very much appreciated for this.

She is appreciated for the countless memories she has made with her family too. Over the years, her boys and her husband all have shared some very special moments with her, and they are looking forward to many more as the years go by.

“We once took a family tubing trip in Pennsylvania and I very fondly remember all the lectures we had about not falling out of the boat, and wouldn’t you know it the one person that fell out of the boat was Mom,” Lucas said. “I will never forget the shriek she let out as I watched her go airborne and then disappear into the white water. To say I had a good laugh would be an understatement.”

In the heat of the moment, it was probably a little freaky, but looking back on it now they can all share a great laugh about it. And that is because Jennifer loves having fun and sharing a good laugh, even if it is sometimes at her own expense.

She is truly a great sport and an even better matriarch and friend, and that is why her family wanted to do something special for her for Mother’s Day this year. She deserves to be celebrated and commemorated on a daily basis, and her family wants to remind her of that fact.

“Mom, I would not be the man I am today without you, and I hope one day I can be half the parent that you are.” – Lucas

“I want Mom to know I am so very thankful for all she has done for me. For her unwavering support, for her help with anything I need, for teaching me how to be a good man, and for giving my brother and I unconditional love. She’s truly the ‘World’s Greatest Mom.’” – Brenden
