Shale development specialist Greylock Energy has experienced impressive growth across its multi-state footprint, with its Pennsylvania operations driving expansion and fueling ambitious aspirations for future success in the Commonwealth.
Founded in 2017 after a purchase of assets by ArcLight Capital Partners, Greylock Energy is headquartered in Charleston, West Virginia, and has rapidly expanded into Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Utah—focusing on Appalachia and the Rockies.
Over the past eight years, Greylock’s experienced team has worked across about 4,800 well sites in four states, with more projects on the horizon.
“Greylock employs more than 200 well tenders, landmen, engineers, and other staff members, many of whom operate out of our offices in Carmichaels, Punxsutawney, and Ulysses, Pennsylvania. So, while we are headquartered in West Virginia, much of our production, many of our team members, and much of our growth potential is tied to Pennsylvania,” said Kyle Mork, Greylock’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Pennsylvania’s emergence as a data center development hub is a key reason Greylock is laser-focused on growth in the Commonwealth. Greylock Midstream – a subsidiary of Greylock Energy – specializes in advanced midstream services to meet the unique demands of data centers and manufacturing clients.
“As data centers expand to support an increasingly digital world, their need for dedicated, reliable, efficient, and scalable natural gas solutions has never been greater,” explained Ryan Deaderick, Greylock’s Chief Operating Officer.
Greylock’s wellhead-to-burner tip solutions ensure seamless energy delivery for data centers and large-scale end-users. Their turnkey approach includes pipeline infrastructure development tailored to client needs and location.
Currently, Greylock is driving growth in the Utica Shale, a dry-gas region in north-central Pennsylvania.
“Greylock Midstream’s ability to deliver gas to potential data center sites removes a major hurdle in site selection, unlocking long-term value for industrial clients and helping Pennsylvania compete for new data center projects,” Deaderick said.
When the energy and data center growth goals are coupled, Greylock presents a winning formula for its operational strategy – and the economic future of Pennsylvania.
Greylock’s mission goes beyond energy production—it’s about improving lives. Over the past two years, Greylock has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to Pennsylvania communities, supporting social service organizations, youth sports, scholarships, outdoor groups, and more.
Their employees also volunteer time and talent, from installing pickleball courts to maintaining historic cemeteries.
At its core, Greylock strives for excellence and integrity, working with landowners, state agencies, and local communities to achieve responsible energy development that lifts Pennsylvania’s economy and empowers its people.
