‘Peace, Joy & Happiness’: These are three of the many things Yolanda wishes upon her partner’s life as he turns 46 years young

Where do we even start with Shy? He is a man who is so full of compassion and love, and he is a pillar of strength, confidence and intelligence. His other half, Yolanda, says he is an inspiration to her in every way, and she will never forget their first date. It was at Popeyes – since they were both busy and it was the only spot they could meet up at quickly. Even in that simple setting, Yolanda stated she felt something special between them, and knew he was someone truly amazing. 

She will also never not be inspired by the father Shy is. Shy is a man who Yolanda says has “unwavering love and dedication” for his children, and not a day goes by where he does not shower them with praise and nurturing. He has created such a warm, safe, patient, supportive environment for Micah, Hannah, Conner and Caleb, and he is a true model dad.

“The way you engage with them – whether it’s through play, helping with homework, support or just listening to their stories – shows your deep commitment to being an active and present father,” Yolanda said. “Your guidance and wisdom provide them with a strong foundation for their future.”

This might have something to do with the principles he was raised with by his parents, Alice and Willie (Poncho), but Shy has also taken things to another level. As a father of four, there is no one who comes before his children, and anyone in his life appreciates and honors this.

What they also admire about Shy is his overall outlook on and love of life. He is a smart man and a learning man, and he is always looking for ways to improve upon himself.

“I admire your intelligence and the way you approach life with curiosity and enthusiasm,” Yolanda said. “Your strength and resilience inspire me to be a better person. I treasure the deep connection we share, the meaningful conversations we have, and the countless memories we’ve created together.”

Whether they are listening to music together, traveling to Baton Rouge, FaceTiming when he is out of town, watching movies, or just spending quality time together, the moments Shy shares with his partner – and his kids – are moments they certainly do not take for granted.

“Your storytelling is unmatched, always leaving us both crying with laughter,” Yolanda said. “Every moment with you is filled with joy and fun, and I cherish our shared laughter.”

Life with Shy is very special to Yolanda, but it is not just because of all the good times they have shared. It is also because of how much Shy pushes her to be uniquely her. He brings out her good side, and there are about a million reasons why he is Yolanda’s rock, confidant and best friend.

“You inspire me to be the best version of myself, and your strength and resilience give me confidence to face any challenge,” Yolanda said. “Our deep connection and the beautiful moments we share make every day special. Whether we’re going on adventures, enjoying quiet nights in, or simply talking for hours, every moment with you is a treasure.”

On top of it all, Shy makes her feel valued, cherished, loved and touched deep down each and every day. Yolanda knows she found an extraordinary one in Shy, and she is super grateful and appreciative for him.
