“The Rock I Lean On”: Windy is the “mama lioness” of the Cox family, and she is beloved by her husband and daughters

Windy and Eric are Air Force veterans who fell in love with one another, and for Eric, he knew she was the one for him when not being around her made him feel empty. She is someone who he just loved to live life with, and that is why he proposed to her over two and a half decades ago.

With Windy, life is truly the best. Eric admires her personality, from her tenacity to her loyalty, and he appreciates the way she always shows up for the people that matter most to her.

He also appreciates all the memories he has made with his exceptional wife, and he just wants to make sure anyone who meets Windy knows they better not be wrong about anything.

“I will always cherish the memory of us drinking wine in a square in Venice as we took in Carnivale,” Eric said. “But no less memorable was my wife jumping first from a cable car suspended from a bungie cord, ensuring I had no choice but to follow suit. The arrival of both of our children are times of amazing memories and bonding together as we welcomed our daughters into the world respectively.”

Every moment in their lives together has been memorable, but what Eric will not ever forget is how great of a mother Windy has been throughout the years. Everything she has ever done from the moment Alli was born was for her good, and eventually her sister Grace’s good too. She taught them right from wrong, how to achieve their goals, and how to always be there for family and make them the priority.

“Windy was a wonderful and loving granddaughter to her grandparents who she doted on, and vice versa,” Eric said. “She has been an amazingly loving and patient daughter-in-law to her new family, and as a mother she always gives her best and utmost regardless of how she feels or what she needs.”

Selflessness is a huge part of who Windy is. From the way she has always protected her girls to the way she has always supported her husband, she is everything to them and then some.

“Windy always sets the example for giving of herself,” Eric said. “Also, she makes me want to be my best self and always has.”

As a wife, Windy has been the one person Eric can always count on. She is someone Eric can lean on daily, and she is truly his home.

And then, there is every other amazing thing about Windy. She is someone a lot of people look up to, and her work ethic and natural love for life and others speaks for themselves.

Of course, she is also very much appreciated for her sacrifice and service to this country, and as the Cox family matriarch.
