‘Then It Clicked’: It admittedly took Brent a bit to fall in love, but that is because Keelie was worth the wait

They are coming up on 17 years of marriage, but they have only really had four anniversaries. Brent and Keelie got married on Leap Day 2008, so their anniversary date only shows up on the calendar every four years. Their love for one another, however, shows up on a daily basis, and there are many times Brent cannot believe he is married to this exceptional woman.

He had to wait for her as well, which honestly makes their story and their love for each other that much more special. After the two met at work, Brent did not think much of it because Keelie was in a relationship at the time. But then, he swooped in, stole her heart, and she has been his cornerstone and soulmate ever since.

And if you ask Brent, he will tell you the love of his life is all sorts of amazing. Every single part of her personality is truly unreplicated, and she is his better half in every sense of the word.

“She keeps me grounded; she never lets me get too high or low,” Brent said. “Her positivity rubs off on me. When I am around her I feel like a better person; she brings that out in me. I always want to be better when I am around her.”

Keelie brings out the best in Brent day in and day out, and he is not afraid to admit that.

He also knows he would be completely lost without her. He does not know what life would look like without Keelie in his corner, but thankfully Brent does not have to think about that. This woman of dignity and great character is his one and only.

“She has the ability to handle multiple things at one time; the ability to plan events,” Brent said. “I admire her willingness to help others before doing what she wants to do. She is very good at her job. The people that come in contact with her ALL like her; she has that touch. She is very true to her family and friends.”

Keelie Fenster is authentically her 100 percent of the time, and it shows day in and day out. Between her interactions with her customers as a casino bartender to her selflessness in taking care of her friends, Keelie is one of the good ones.

“She has the most beautiful heart and is always doing things for others before herself,” Brent added. “She brings a smile to everyone she comes in contact with. She has a positive attitude, as well as being the most beautiful woman on the planet.”

That big smile, those beautiful eyes, and her huge heart are just three of the many things Brent was attracted to right from the start. He always believed she was someone he could spend the rest of his life with, and now he gets to.

She is also someone who has always been such a great mom, and Brent saw that from the beginning. When the Fensters got married, Keelie’s kids were preteens, and Brent recognizes how tough that age is to raise by yourself. He always admired his wife for this fact, and he still does to this day.

“She is an unbelievable mother,” Brent said. “She talks to her kids every day… they are about to turn 30. She loves her grandson and smiles every minute he is around. Her kids look to her for advice on everything. She will drop whatever it is she is doing when they call, including me… haha. Her whole heart is her family.”

Keelie lettered in high school choir and is an outstanding individual, but she will tell you she is who she is because of “framily.” Without the way she was shaped growing up, she might not understand the importance of family and have the morals and values she has. Thankfully, that is not the case, and in Brent’s case he is just thankful he met Keelie when he did… and shot his shot when he did.

“Basically, what I want her to know is that being with her is the luckiest thing that has happened to me. My life revolves around her, and she is the love of my life. I feel blessed every day when she comes down the stairs.” – Brent
