‘Worth it All’: Everyone in Kayla’s life values her way more than she realizes

Kayla Marshall is a truly great friend to many. Those many friends would not know what to do if not for their friendship with Kayla, and that is because she is always there, and she is a truly impactful presence.

“She is a very important person in my life,” many say. “We’re very lucky to know her, spend time with her and learn from her. She’s opened our eyes to a number of important life lessons to keep us on a successful path.”

Kayla helps her friend Patrick remain on the straight and narrow, and he certainly does not take their friendship for granted. Whether she is kicking his butt at music bingo, strategy games or taking him to get a pedicure, or whether they are checking out estate sales or going to bed early on lazy Fridays, Kayla finds a way to make anything in life fun.

She also has a knack for creating teachable moments without even realizing it. Patrick says he has learned that anything is achievable, and that passion is important, thanks to Kayla. She also pushes him and challenges him in many ways, and she has helped him become a better version of himself.

“Kayla’s work ethic is unmatched; failure is not in her vocabulary,” Patrick said. “She is dedicated to being the best at what she does, no matter if it’s being an ER nurse, aunt, daughter, dog mom or friend. She is accountable, productive, responsible, organized, honest, takes ownership, and is always actively contributing to people’s lives. She sets goals and achieves them. She lets nothing get in her way.”

Strength, independence and willpower also make up this incredible human being, as she always strives to be the best version of herself every day.

Kayla also has a lot of selfless bones in her body. Whether she is volunteering her time with kids playing Sportsball, being the most amazing dog mom, or being the best aunt, sister, friend and daughter, Kayla shows up for everyone.

“Kayla ALWAYS puts others before herself,” Patrick said. “If you’re a family member, friend or patient of Kayla’s, she is going to make you feel heard, loved and cared about. She is honest and acts with integrity. She is truthful, extremely generous, responsible and accountable. The support and encouragement that pours out of Kayla makes anyone that knows her very lucky.”

Everyone in Kayla’s life appreciates her for this fact. She remains genuine in her ways and she treats others with respect and dignity.

“What makes Kayla who she is is her passion, thoughtfulness and love for family and friends,” Patrick said. “The passion she has for her nieces, friends and sister – TT, Lainey, Alyssa and Jasmina – is unlike anything ever seen. They are very lucky to have Kayla as an aunt, sister and friend. Anyone who I’ve ever met has told me the same thing: she loves hard.

Every person who is a part of Kayla’s life agrees with how special she is. She is someone with a lot of integrity who has learned from the past and does not let it define her. She is also someone who is always setting herself up for the best path forward, and that is why she is such a wonderful and cherished family member, friend and nurse.

“She is one of the toughest people I’ve ever met,” Patrick said. “She always makes great personal choices that put her on a path to success. Her emotional development is another quality that makes her who she is. She shows so much strength, independency and willpower, and I applaud her for that.”

When Patrick gained a friend in Kayla, he got way more than he bargained for… and he is grateful for that. She is a nonjudgmental, optimistic individual with a natural zeal and zest for life. She is unique, valuable, valued and loved, and there are so many people in her life that cannot help but be eternally grateful for what Kayla means to them.
