A Great Woman: Lena is loved and admired by her husband and children

Their wedding day. The days the kids were born. Every day together.

When you ask Jeff Weisenborn what his favorite memories with Lena are, this is what he will tell you. And it is because the first two were life-changing moments, but the latter is just a reminder of how amazing life is with her.

Jeff has been with Lena for well over 10 years now, and every day is a cherished one. He loves the fact that he gets to wake up next to her every morning, and he loves the fact that she is the mother to their children.

Jeff also loves everything about his wife’s personality. Lena is someone who loves hard and who loves to joke as well, as she has such a lighthearted sense of life.

“Lena is sneaky funny,” Jeff said. “She likes to take jabs at me, but in a funny way. I’m a very busy and active person, where she loves her home and is a homebody. She could sit and read a book all day. She keeps our family connected in every way possible. If you need something, you are going to ‘Mom’ to find it or the answer. She has made me into more of a homebody than I ever thought I would be.”

For Lena, there is nothing more important than spending time with family. Whether it is with the kids, Teddy the cat (who loves Jeff more), Jeff or anybody else, Lena loves spending time with them. She has a heart for family, and she is certainly the mother of all mothers.

“She is truly the best mom ever,” Jeff said. “She always puts her children first before herself or anything else. You can see it with the kids as they are always clinging to her and love on her so much. We joke about how she doesn’t have any space to move because the kids and the cat are always next to her.”

Lena does not complain about her lack of personal space either, as her kids are her world. She loves taking them on adventures and making birthdays and special moments memorable for them.

She also loves instilling her faith in Christ into the kids. Both Parker and Sam see the love she has for Jesus radiate off her face, and they see her as a role model in that sense.

Jeff admires this about his wife as well, along with so much more. Lena has so much to offer, and Jeff knows he could not do it without her.

“She means everything,” Jeff said. “Honestly, I don’t know how I would function without her. She is loyal, kind, smart, funny and full of love. Myself and the kids just want her to know how much we love her and that everyday life sometimes makes it hard to always show that. We care about her deeply and want her to know she’s appreciated.”

Jeff, Parker and Sam are the people they are today because of Lena, and Teddy is the cat he is today because of Lena. Lena makes an impact on so many people’s lives, and her family-first mentality is certainly appreciated.
