‘Through it All’: This couple knows how to stand by each other through thick and thin

God first. Family second. Fun third.
For Kaci Lewis, this is how she prioritizes the things in her life. She is a woman of faith who is passing down that faith to her two daughters at an early age, and she is a woman who will always put her family before anyone else.
She loves unconditionally and with such depth and warmth that make you always feel at home when you are around her. Kaci’s big heart spreads through her kindness and selflessness each and every day, and there are many reasons why Jehiel was so attracted to her at the multiple crawfish boils he met her at.
“She has this incredible way of making sure that the people she loves never feel alone,” he said of his wife. “Whether it’s through a heartfelt message, an unexpected act of kindness, or simply sitting with someone in silence (painstakingly) when they need it, she reminds everyone around her that they matter.”
Kaci is the kind of individual who does not make you feel less than. Her heart is always in the right place, and she will put herself last in every situation.
“I have learned that no matter distance, time, hardship, or how busy life can be, if you have a true friend, you do not have to be blood related to be family,” her friend Ashley said. “I have had the blessing to have met my best friend and sister in second grade whose contagious energy and love pulled me into her life, family and friendship.”
“Her thoughtfulness makes her good to others,” her stepsister Crystal added. “She consistently remembers birthdays, important occasions, and wants to be involved in what’s important to others in their lives.”
“For her, what I’ve learned about her is how big her heart is,” Jehiel added. “She cares about everybody around her more than she cares about herself. She prioritizes others. Kaci is always going out of her way to make small/insignificant things feel special.”
She can do this through her love language of gift giving, or she can do this by just being engaged and making you priority one. She has a great balance of sympathy and empathy with others, and she uses her own life experiences to help and interact with others.
She is a golden rule individual who lives by all the correct morals and values, and she is certainly instilling the right things into their daughters at a young age. Kaci is also the mom of all moms who is an inspiration and a role model of strength, perseverance, hard work and love.
“Kaci is an amazing mother,” Ashley said. “I know the girls will always have their mother’s fierce unconditional love. Kaci will always be their biggest cheerleader and in their corner. I always picture the girls having Kaci’s hunger for travel and activities of all kinds.”
“Watching her with our daughter is like witnessing pure magic,” Jehiel added. “She’s patient in ways I can’t even fathom, nurturing with a tenderness that makes our daughter feel safe, loved, and confident to explore the world around her. She knows exactly when to offer a comforting hug, when to share a life lesson, and when to let our little one learn things on her own. She’s the kind of mom who reads just one more bedtime story (even if it’s the third time), who makes ordinary days feel special with the smallest gestures, and who somehow manages to turn messes and chaos into moments of joy and laughter.”
Kaci has the keen ability to make the most out of everything in life, and she is a hands-on mother who would do anything for her girls. They are both her world, and the things she does for them will go a long way in their growth and development.
“Her ENTIRE LIFE revolves around her and Jehiel’s two daughters,” Crystal said. “Her top priority is giving them the best foundation, education and childhood possible. Everything else is a far second.”
What will also go a long way in this regard is the relationship she has with her siblings. She is the baby of the group, but she is also the glue of the group.
“She’s got three brothers and all three of them are in different walks of life,” Jehiel said. “She is the glue that binds them all. She doesn’t let one veer too far off the beaten path. She makes sure they are all speaking to each other on important days and not important days.”
Kaci keeps her brothers connected, and that is because she is all about the family. That is her 1B priority in life, and that speaks volumes to her personality.
She, of course, loves making memories with her family too, and whether that involves food (particularly crawfish), fishing, traveling, music festivals, dog sledding, or nursing Jehiel’s ”old man ailments” to health, Kaci has a tendency to create a lot of unforgettable moments in life.
She also has a tendency to connect with anyone and everyone – from her immediate family to her extended family to her in-laws to her friends – and she shows up for everyone. Whatever they need or whatever they are involved in, she is there cheering them on or providing a voice of reason.
“When people ask me what I love most about my wife, I usually pause—not because I don’t know, but because where do you even start when you’re married to someone like her? She’s like a rare gem, except shinier, more precious, and with better Wi-Fi,” Jehiel said. “She’s the perfect balance to what I am. She has a huge heart that is second to none. She remembers everyone’s birthday, including the pets. She’s a dreamer.”
What can’t be said about this wonderful woman? She was like novocaine to Jehiel from the moment they met, and he has been numb to her ever since. She is his wise rock who entered his life at the exact right moment, and he cannot wait to see what the future holds.
“I hope this article reminds her of how much she is appreciated. That whatever it is that our household is able to accomplish is a direct reflection of everything she does to make our house a home. That I love her with all that I am and all that I will ever be. Going through this process has reminded me how much better than Wi-Fi she is!!”
