“I am in heaven every day”

Despite her own personal ailments, Tara always puts her family first ahead of herself, no matter what. She is the type of wife, friend and mother that gives her all and is dedicated to those she loves. Tara is honest, compassionate and always has everyone’s back. Tara’s smile never goes away, even in the midst of her personal struggles. 

Tara and her husband Chris met 17 years ago. They crossed paths working at the Sugarbush Tavern in Chesterfield, Michigan. With one look, Chris was mesmerized by Tara’s beauty; it was love at first sight. 

Tara is always bringing Chris out of his shell to try new things, and to never have a dull moment in their relationship. After their wedding in Jamaica, the party did not end.

“We sang karaoke, which I never do,” Chris said. “Afterwards, we went around the resort at 1 a.m., knocking on people’s doors and running away.” 

While karaoke and ding-dong ditching are not the main reasons Chris fell in love with Tara, it is memories like those that make Chris thankful for their love and for the family they created. 

“Tara is the best mother to her daughter Miranda and the best wife to myself,” Chris said. “She is a kind, sincere person who prioritizes our family. She doesn’t need much to be happy, and our house is always brightened by her sense of humor.”

Tara enjoys spending time with her family playing games, supporting Miranda at her sporting events, and even serving as one of Miranda’s softball team’s coaches. Above all, though, she cherishes every second they have as a family.

For Tara, being a mother is just one facet of her bustling daily routine. She ensures Miranda’s hair is styled for school, and that she is taken to and from sports practices and every school event.

She also channels her unwavering dedication into her career at the Macomb County Friend of the Court. This year marks a significant milestone as she celebrates two decades of hard work and commitment to her job.

Chris said that his wife’s honesty, confidence and kindness are admirable. She is the most selfless person, and will always put everybody in front of herself.

Chris also mentioned that his wife elevates him with her confidence and kindness. 

“She has taught me to be a nicer person than I ever had been before meeting her,” Chris said. “The way she carries herself is mesmerizing, and it makes me want to be the best version of myself.” 

Chris realizes that while it may not always be shown, he has the most amazing wife, and his daughter has the best mother. 

“I would just like to let you know that I am the luckiest guy on the planet to have married such a beautiful, kind, wonderful person and mother. I am in heaven every day. even though there are a lot of times that I don’t show it, I am madly in love with you and love you more and more each and every day.” – Chris
