‘I’m Lucky’: This is how Kevin feels about having his resilient wife Terra by his side

Kevin Baylot loves doing everything with his wife. Whether it’s vacationing or hunting or grocery shopping or gardening, as long as Kevin is with Terra, he is in his happy place.

He also enjoys watching TV and movies along with playing games with her. Heck, they even love getting outside and going on adventures.

Oh yeah, Kevin also loves cooking with his wife! It is something that keeps their relationship fresh and exciting, and it is something they both just genuinely enjoy.

“We love cooking Thanksgiving meals together,” Kevin said. “There’re certain things she’ll make and certain things I’ll make. Sometimes we’ll split. We like cooking Christmas dinner together too. In general, she bakes and makes casseroles, and I make meats.”

Much like their complementary cooking, Kevin and Terra complement each other in every facet of their relationship. They are the yin to each other’s yang, and they help make up for where the other lacks.

Their relationship started with a bunch of nerves, but has blossomed into this wonderful friendship that is built on love and trust. They are just always there for one another, and Kevin said they make a great team.

Kevin also mentioned that when he and Terra started getting closer, they started integrating more of their lives together. So, instead of doing a bunch of things separately, they started combining their interests, which is why there are so many things he mentioned they enjoy doing together.

The craziest part is, Terra’s favorite thing to do with Kevin has not even been mentioned yet. That thing? Going to church together.

Terra’s whole life is built on her relationship with God, and when she and Kevin started dating, they realized they were equally yoked. Terra is Kevin’s Proverbs 31 woman, and she is the woman he knows God told him to be with.

“Her faith is very strong,” Kevin said. “She’s been through a lot of hard things in life. She doesn’t lose faith. It makes her stronger. She looks back and realizes the only way she got through the hardships was God. She is the leader of the household in that way. Faith is at the forefront of her relationships and has always shown through her.”

Terra lives with a lot of grace, poise and compassion, and all three of those things are made a whole lot stronger by her faith. She is someone who loves God and fears Him, and she sees Him as her everything.

Her family sees her as their everything as well. Terra is the pillar of strength in the Baylot family, and she is so full of love and kindness.

“She’s my strength when I’m weak,” Kevin said. “She always puts me and the children and the grandchildren and family first. Terra always makes sure we are taken care of. She sacrifices to make sure we are taken care of. She’s a hard worker. She’s a good homemaker. Just everything she does is good.”

The goodness in Terra’s heart shines through day in and day out, as does her love for Jesus.

Of course, her love for her kids and grandkids shines through all the time as well, and it is something that is admired by many.

“What makes her a great mom and grandma? Just her loving heart,” Kevin said. “She wants what is best for the kids and the grandkids. If they’re sick, she’s nursing them. She helps them with schoolwork. Whatever needs to be done supportive wise to give them the best she can, she always does.”

Terra is her family’s biggest supporter and their reliability and confidant. They can go to her with anything, and she is going to be there for them.

This selflessness is part of what makes her a tremendous asset to her friends too. Terra is a beloved individual who cares so much and shows that with her genuineness every day. She is everyone’s biggest fan and role model, and it is easy to see why.

“She’s got a kind heart. She’s always kind,” Kevin said. “At church, she volunteers to help with the children. Wherever someone seems to need help, she’s always there to volunteer to help.”

Terra does it for no other reason than it being part of her caring nature. She really just wants what is best for everyone at all times, and she shows that time and again.

For Kevin, the kids and the grandkids, none of this would be possible without the matriarch and leader of the family. Terra does so much with little recognition, and she deserves to be celebrated.

“I want her to know how lucky I am to have her in my life. How she has helped me grow as a man. How thankful I am for her and how much I love her.” – Kevin
