Not Taken for Granted: Rachel Correia is a hardworking mother who has been through a lot, and has shown strength through it all.

She’s always been there for her kids. Whether it was taking a day off work when her daughter was not feeling well and did not want to go to daycare, or whether it was being there every step of the way for her son’s anxiety, Rachel Correia has always been there for Michael and Abby, and she has been a hero to them in many ways.

That is why they wanted to take this opportunity to show her how much they really appreciate her. They know they were not the easiest kids to raise, especially doing so as a single mom, but through Rachel’s strength and determination she handled it all with such ease and love.

“I admire her strength,” Abby said. “Even on what seems like the worst days, she can always find the positives.”

Rachel is a glass half full kind of person, and her overall character is just truly commendable. She cooks the best meals and provides such a great amount of love to her kids, and neither of them take her for granted. They both know that she has sacrificed a lot for them, and they both see her as a role model.

“She is the best human on the planet” according to Abby, and Michael would tend to agree. They both know their mother is consistently thinking of others (especially them), and she has a hard time shutting off her selfless and caring side.

“She is always there for us no matter how tough we are on her,” Abby said.

That is truly unconditional love. Rachel loves her kids no matter what, and she is never not there for them.

In being there for them, Rachel is always pushing Michael and Abby to be the best versions of themselves and to strive for greatness. She wants them both to set goals and crush them, and they plan to continue doing just that as they are both very close to exiting their teenage years.

“She pushes me to do things out of my comfort box,” Abby said. “If it weren’t for her, I would have given up on school.”

Rachel has a way of encouraging her kids and supporting them in every area of their lives. She helped them get through school and set them on a path for success, and they cannot thank her enough for that.

They also could not be prouder of the strong, independent, amazing woman their mother is. Rachel works hard at her HR job at Brown Medicine, and she is also super close with her baby nephew Jack. She loves hard and she is always there, and she is truly the best there is.
