Mom celebrating first Mother’s Day

Sarah Dvorak is a wonderful wife and mom who is celebrating her first Mother’s Day. 

Her husband, Mike, said Sarah is doing an amazing job with their three-and-a-half-month-old daughter, Layla, and she deserves to be honored for all the work she is doing. 

“She has a surprising amount of patience dealing with our newborn and has been a warrior going off little amounts of sleep,” Mike said. “Sarah wakes up with Layla in the middle of the night every night and then also is ready to get up with her early in the morning and keep her happy.”

The couple met on Tinder when they both swiped right. They connected immediately on the first date and Mike said he knew she was “The One” pretty early on while they were dating. 

Mike and Sarah have made some wonderful memories, including attending Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions games, and staying at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, but they soon decided they wanted to have a family. 

Unfortunately, last year, they lost their first child, a baby girl named Mishka to a premature birth. Mike said it was a devastating loss for them, but getting through it together made them stronger as a couple going forward.

He said he was incredibly impressed with Sarah’s resiliency because she was ready to try again pretty quickly, which resulted in their beautiful daughter, Layla.

Sarah is not just a great mother, but she is also a very hard worker who is taking time off from her work in web development to take care of Layla. 

In what little free time she has, Sarah likes playing golf and tennis, going down YouTube rabbit holes, or just chilling at home doing her own thing. She also enjoys weekend trips, but those have been scarce with an infant at home. 

Mike said he has learned so much from Sarah, including not taking anything for granted and living in the moment.

“She has this genuine curiosity about life and appreciates the little things,” Mike said. “She is almost always in a great mood regardless of the circumstance.”

Mike also said that Sarah showed him the importance of loving someone unconditionally, and just being there for your partner no matter what. 

“She supports me 100% in any decision I make and regardless of the outcome she is still there to support me rather than tear me down,” Mike said. “I truly appreciate her encouragement, which makes me try to be a better person.” 

“Sarah, thank you for everything,” Mike said. “I wish you the happiest Mother’s Day and I am thrilled you can celebrate with our beautiful, healthy baby girl. I will love you forever!”
