‘The Heart of our Family’: Leah is the guiding hand and the steady force in the Arshem-Stensland household

Life is all about balance, and Leah Stensland has certainly figured out how to balance life to the best of her ability. She juggles so much and seems to have it all figured out, and her family admires her for this.

“She is a great mother and wife who always puts everyone else’s needs first,” Leah’s husband Abe said. “She has an amazing work ethic, and is so great at running Stensland Family Farms Ice Cream stores while also taking care of myself and our two daughters.”

Leah opening the family ice cream shop that coincides with her brothers holding down the fort on the farm front back in Iowa comes on the heels of her shutting down her successful event planning business. She decided to take a step back from that to focus on the family business, and it has been super successful ever since.

That is because anything Leah touches turns to gold. She knows what it takes to run businesses, and even more importantly, she knows the meaning of family. Running a business with her brothers means the world to her, as does her family.

Speaking of which, when she is not devoting her time to the ice cream shop and the cafe, Leah is focused on taking care of things on the homefront. She is a phenomenal wife and mother who would do anything for her husband and girls, and she would do anything with them as well. If she is crossing off bucket list items or summer cruising in the Jeep or on a boat, she is happy.

Of course, if her girls are happy, she is also happy. Everything Leah does is for their good, and she loves making them the number one priority.

“She cares so deeply for her daughters and would do anything for them,” Abe said. “She has the perfect mix of nurturing them and guiding them through troubles and being fun and showing them the joyous sides of life. She is so graceful with them and shows them the right way to go about things and how to correctly handle tough situations. She teaches them to be kind and gracious and strong, independent women.”

Leah is a role model to her daughters as well. They both look up to her because she leads by example and lives a life full of joy and hard work.

To Abe himself, his wife is his world. He cannot imagine living life without her, and he is super grateful for all she has ever done for him and the girls.

“She is the most amazing and strong woman I know. I am so very lucky that she is my one. She is so loving of me and our family, and she always makes each of us feel so special. She is one of a kind and the heart of our family!” – Abe
