She loves her husband to death while enjoying poking fun at him.
She loves singing to their boys and spreading positivity toward them in all circumstances.
She also can remember any of her friends’ birthdays and will carve out some time to spend with them.
“She’s just so loving,” Emily Bowles’ close friend Emma Buck said. “She has [her son] Andy’s best intentions at heart. My two sons are basically the same age as her two sons. She shows a lot of love toward my sons as well as hers. We’re growing as mothers together. We are going through these milestones together. I could not ask for a better mom friend teammate than Emily… It’s always family; always loved ones. She is filling her kids’ lives with a lot of love.”
“Not only is she an amazing mother, but she is the most supportive partner you could ever ask for,” Emily’s husband Chris added. “Even on the most challenging days for us, she will still make sure that I know that she is there to support me and make me a better person. She always does her best to make those around her happy, and rarely makes anything about her. She regularly gives all of herself to her family and friends, and does so happily.”
All in all, Emily is a pretty sacrificial, selfless wife, mother and friend who always shows up and shows out. Whether she is singing her boys “You Are My Sunshine” or teaching them to be brave, or whether she is motivating her husband to grow as a parental unit, she is constantly putting those in the Mazella household first.
She brings out the best in everyone all around her too, and she is constantly growing in ways you might not think possible with someone who is already as amazing as her. She is just constantly looking to learn and make herself better, and everyone around her is constantly astonished by her.
“She’s really smart,” Emma said. “I think she gets a lot of praise for being fun and being a good friend, but she’s an incredibly smart attorney. She doesn’t brag on herself nearly enough in that vein. She is really modest when it comes to that. She reads situations incredibly well. She’s just a really smart person. That part does not always get talked about. I am proud of her and what she has accomplished professionally.”
Among all the talks about her being a great mother, wife and friend, what can get lost in the shuffle is the rest of Emily’s amazing personality. But she is also an incredibly smart, witty, fun-loving individual who loves making memories with her people.
From Chris’ birthday weekend to Washington DC to his proposal scavenger hunt to the car breaking down on the road trip to Nashville, every moment he has spent with Emily has been special. Of course, their wedding weekend and the births of their sons take the cake, and just being around her every day is an honor and a moment well spent.
Being around her also brings out the best in Chris and teaches him a lot. Just like she is teaching their boys a lot about the world, Emily is teaching Chris a lot about how to live his best life.
“The best lesson Emily always teaches me is always being grateful for what we have in this life,” he said. “At times when I get frustrated about truly mundane or frivolous things, she always gives the best reality check knowing the truly wonderful and happy life we have together.”
They have two awesome little boys, and Chris is married to an absolute saint of a woman. What more could he ask for?
Emma knows she couldn’t ask for a better friend in Emily just like Chris couldn’t ask for a better wife in Emily.
“We’ve been friends since summer of 2011,” she said. “She’s just always somebody who creates community around her. She was always the one who was planning a happy hour or inviting people to have lunch with her. Emily always made everyone feel welcome and have fun. I really got to realize she is someone who invites everyone and brings a good time. She remembers everybody’s birthdays and dietary restrictions and connects with people. She has a really good heart. She wants what is best for everyone in her life.”
Emily even made vegan chocolate chip cookies for the first interaction with her now parents-in-law, and she and Chris talked about all the things on their first date that are supposed to wait until the next stage of the relationship. But that’s just who Emily Bowles is. She is a no-holds-barred mama bear who is a great wife and friend too, and she is very much appreciated for such.
“I want to make sure she feels really loved and really appreciated. She is somebody who brings a lot of light and joy to my life and lots of other people’s lives. She really truly cares about people in her life, and those people really truly care about and love her too.” – Emma

So many friends and family members are grateful for all she does and could not imagine life without her.
