These were the big three, so to speak, in terms of things Janet Soto focused on teaching her kids, Ricky and Elaine, when they were younger. She showed them what a good work ethic looked like, and she has always been a selfless individual.
Even to this day, Janet loves being there for people. She shows people what it means to be genuine and make sacrifices, no matter what the cost may be.
“She provided a house for her sister and her sister’s son who was sick from a liver disease,” Elaine said.
Without hesitation, Janet was right there to help her sister. She knew it was not going to be easy on herself, but then again, to Janet, that is what family is for. You take care of your own and always do what you can to provide for each other.
In that, as well as so many other things, Janet has been a role model for her kids. Ricky and Elaine have learned so much from their mom, and even to this day they could not imagine getting through life without their mother’s endless dedication and insertion of values.
“She always taught us to do the right thing,” Elaine said. “Mom taught us to be clean. She always provided everything we needed. She’s always been very loving and giving.”
Long story short, Janet has been a stellar mother who their kids love beyond belief. They love reflecting on all the memories with her, including all the vacations they have taken to beach houses in Siesta Keys.
They also admire Janet’s dedication and her love for things. Whether it be her love for shopping or her binge-watching Golden Girls on the daily, Janet stays true to what she knows.
Janet is also one of the best dancers at the dance.
She has an incredible personality as well. What she lacks in height she makes up for in heart, wisdom and quick wit.
“She’s always been comical,” Elaine said. “She’s funny. She’s a little feisty lady with a funny personality. Mom’s only 4-foot-6. She loves anything with bling and sparkle. Anything glittery is a big thing. She loves to shop and dress for the occasion.”
Janet is not without an expensive taste, and with all the sacrifices she has made over the years, she deserves to have that. She loves to look nice too, and that is something that might seem minute to some, but it shows the kind of person she is.
All in all, Janet Soto is just a little lady with a big heart. She has been there for her children from the moment they were both born, and she is their role model and sense of purpose. They admire and appreciate her, and Ricky and Elaine love her so much.
