Briggette Moore: Kind and Thoughtful – “May God bless us with 37 more years”

“May God bless us with 37 more years”

Briggette and Rick have been married for nearly four decades and are excited to share their next chapter of life together. 

They met on April 25, 1986, when they were introduced by a mutual friend during the Second Presbyterian Church’s singles retreat. 

“The friend who introduced us warned us to avoid each other,” said Rick, “but I knew God couldn’t keep us from connecting with each other.”

Exactly one year after their souls met in 1986, they were happily married.

Since April 26, 1987, Briggette and Rick created many beautiful memories and experiences together. Including the creation of their beautiful family. 

Briggette, being as intelligent as she is, has many career accomplishments, including achieving both a bachelor’s and master’s degree throughout her academic journey. 

But most importantly, being as kind and thoughtful as she is makes her amazing. She sacrificed 12 years of her professional career to raise their kids and care for her family. 

Briggette is a wonderful wife, and mother of two amazing children: Hamilton and Olivia.

She enjoys spending time with her children, son-in-law and, most of all, their golden retriever Darby.

“Darby is 9 months old and has become Briggette’s new playmate. We enjoy spending a lot of time with our golden ‘Darby,’” shared Rick. “But I really think it’s me who enjoys the time with them.” 

Other than spending time with family, Briggette enjoys traveling and trying different cuisines.

Together, they have traveled to many different places. From beautiful islands like Bermuda and Maui to fun cities like New York City and San Diego. 

“Even though we traveled the world together, she still loves the gulf beaches and Big Cedar Resort in Missouri,” Rick adds.

Brigette enjoys participating in outdoor activities like hiking, bike riding and golfing. Her new favorite activity is fly-fishing.

She is also active in their church missions, participating in prayer groups, bible studies, and serving their community.

“Briggette is always helping others behind the scenes, often without anyone knowing,” Rick adds.

“Briggette makes me a better person every day. Always holding me accountable in our faith and inspiring me to live a moral and classy life,” said Rick. “I don’t think Briggette will ever know how much she means to me and how much I love her.”
