Carol Nobles makes an impact wherever she goes, and this has rung especially true in her 40-plus years of work in the investment industry.

And now that Carol is retiring, the legacy she has created is being remembered by many of her colleagues, as well as her husband.

When Carol entered the financial industry more than four decades ago, she was just a young woman looking to make a name for herself in her field of work. However, anyone who knew her at the time (namely her husband Charles and her three siblings) knew Carol was destined for success. Early on, she developed a great work ethic, which helped her through the ups and downs of the stock market, and in handling a wide variety of clients.

“She first became involved in investing in the mid-70s as the assistant to the treasurer at a property management firm,” Charles said. “Carol became entrusted with seeking the highest rate of return for the overnight investment of company funds.”

That piqued her interest in finance, and she soon was hired at Merrill Lynch. It was there that she became fully immersed in the ins and outs of investing in the stock market, and she was a quick learner in many regards. She was asked to do a lot, as she was seen as a smart, intelligent woman who could really make a difference in the investment community.

Besides Merrill Lynch, Carol worked at several other investment firms before making the jump to financial advisor at Edward Jones for the past 12 years.

It has been during that period that Carol has made an even greater impact than ever before, as she helped expand Edward Jones’ reach to new heights. They had not really tapped into the Miami market before Carol came along, but her knowledge in both the industry and of the Miami area really helped Edward Jones establish a valuable presence there.

Not only did Carol make a significant impact at Edward Jones, but she has been influential in her clients’ lives. She has treated her clients well and is someone they can trust to help them achieve their financial goals.

“Carol’s caring radiated through her dealings with a variety of clients over a 40-year career,” Charles said. “That fostered relationships that have lasted generations.”

And now, as she steps into retirement, Carol gets to continue fostering her personal relationships, especially with her extended family of five children and five grandchildren. She will get to spend more time with them and will get to really sit back and enjoy her grandkids growing up.

It is a well-deserved retirement Carol is entering, as she is one of the most genuine, kind and trustworthy people on the planet.

“She is open minded, and she’s giving and nonjudgmental,” Charles said.

There is no doubt she will be missed by many peers, but they also know that, now more than ever, they get to truly appreciate the legacy Carol is leaving behind. Carol is a hard worker and a woman of integrity. She is a culture shifter, and she has made a true, lasting impression on many people.

“Carol is genuine,” Charles concluded. “She is a walking throwback to a simpler time in America when more people meant what they said and said what they meant.”
