‘She lives to help others’

Lisa Miller is an amazing wife and mother who has dedicated her life to her family. 

She has lived her life according to teachings of Jesus, which she has passed on to her three daughters, Hope, Emily and Hannah.

“Our daughters are lucky to have such an amazing mother,” her husband, Steve, said. “Lisa has always put the needs of her children first and she has worked very hard to have a good, lasting relationship with them.”

Lisa is incredibly hardworking and patient, traits that serve her well at her job as a preschool director and teacher. Those who work with her know how she loves her students and would do anything to assure their success.

Steve and Lisa met at church and were friends for several months before they started dating. They dated for a year and then were married eight months later.

“We immediately fell for each other,” Steve said. “We knew from the second week of dating that we would get married, and we have been together for 22 wonderful years.”

The couple enjoys spending time together watching college football, going on trips, and spending time with their girls.

The family has made many memories together on their trips, whether it be attending Cal football games or going to Disneyland.

Family is very important to Lisa, as she not only does everything she can for her three daughters, but she has stayed very close to her parents and her brothers, Eric and Evan, and their families.

Steve said, “I truly admire her and how she lives her life. She lives to serve others. She is a great example to her daughters and to other women.”

Lisa’s faith plays a huge role in her life, and that faith helped her through a difficult cancer battle.

“She seeks the Lord in all that she does,” Steve said, adding, “Thanks to that faith and God’s love, she is a strong and proud cancer survivor. Her strength and grace through that battle are another wonderful lesson she has passed on to our girls.”

Even with her own struggles, Lisa has always put others first. Steve said he admires how strong, caring and loving she is, and her example makes him strive to be a better person.

“I know how blessed I am to have such a remarkable woman in my life,” Steve said. “She is my everything and I love her with all my heart.”
