Loved Beyond Measure: If Amy didn’t realize it before, she should know now just how much her husband and son love and appreciate her

If you are lucky enough to know Amy Cook, then you know she is a faithful servant of God who believes in herself and in others.

While she may not shout her faith to the mountaintops, the way Amy lives is exactly the way you would expect a Christian to live. She is reserved in her ways, she helps others and she is a great mother all wrapped in one.

As a mother, Amy is attentive to all of Jonas’ needs and desires. She gives him the space and independence he asks for, but she is also his best friend when he needs anything.

“She’s a very kind and soft-hearted mother,” Amy’s husband Tony said. “They are very tight. She is good at teasing him in a way that doesn’t drive him away. She goes above and beyond to make sure he is taken care of.”

This includes teaching him the things he needs to carry with him throughout life. Of course, she is open and honest about her faith with Jonas, but she also emphasizes the importance of honesty, hard work and family.

She is just such a loving mother, and Amy is also an extraordinary friend. She is there for those who need her, and she is a shoulder to lean on.

“She’s very sympathetic and empathetic,” Tony said. “She’s very compassionate, especially toward kids. Amy remembers everybody’s birthday. She’s very concerned; very caring about other people and how they feel. She wouldn’t want to do anything to hurt their feelings.”

Amy’s best friend is Tony, and she has stuck by his side for 25 years. It has not always been the easiest of things to do, but she always sticks to her vows. They look toward the light at the end of the tunnel, and they have put some of their hardest times way in the rearview mirror.

“I think the key to 25 years is just refusing to give up,” Tony said. “Loyalty. Sacrifice. We’re glad we made it work. We’re lightyears better than we were back then.”

And the love Amy has for Tony is unending. Just like she is with everyone else, she does not give up on him and is his biggest supporter.

Being the best wife possible is something they know Jonas has seen from his mom, and Tony and Amy hope it is something he looks for in a wife down the road. Tony also hopes Jonas never forgets just how great of a person Amy is.

“Amy believes in me more than I do,” Tony said. “Her loyalty, support and self-sacrifice have saved my emotional life more than once. Amy is literally the strongest person I have ever known.”

Your strength defines your character, which would explain why Amy’s character is as amazing as it is. She loves hard, works hard, plays hard and lives for Jesus. Her family knows this, and they are grateful for all the memories and wonderful times they have had together.

“Amy, other than Jesus, you are the best thing that ever happened to me. Thanks for always sticking with me. If I had to do it all over again, I’d love to change a few choices I’ve made, but I would always choose the past 25 years with you over anything else. You are an amazing, loving wife. You are the best mom I know. You are the light of our family. Jonas and I love you beyond words.” – Tony
