‘Our Heartbeat’: Gabrielle D’Amore makes great sacrifices routine as a wife and a mother to her four children

Gabrielle D’Amore and her kids bundled up on a ride

Kristopher D’Amore loves his wife Gabrielle’s independence and intelligence and the fact that she has delivered so much more to her family as a wife and mother to her four children Luca (6), Leo and Hudson (3) and Greta (1). She is accomplished in her career as a physician assistant in oncology, but motherhood has brought out even greater gifts.

Start with the fact that Gabrielle balances both facets of her life and has sacrificed work in favor of family every time she is faced with that decision. She makes a habit of placing the children’s needs above all else, showing on countless occasions that their health and happiness is far and away her top priority.

“She is just a great person,” Kristopher said. “She is willing to sacrifice so much of herself to ensure others’ wellbeing. She has four kids who absolutely love her and who she loves even more in return. She has put her career on a partial hold to help raise our family. She is simply our rock and foundation of our family.”

Before he even knew her, Kristopher seemed to have some kind of sixth sense that Gabrielle was a special person. They met at work and after their first interaction, Kristopher said to himself, “I am going to take her out.” He was eventually proven right, but it took four months for their first date to happen.

They went bowling and had dinner and dessert at the top of the Renaissance Center, and at some point along the way, Kristopher’s sixth sense struck again.

“I knew she was the one the moment I realized I couldn’t see my life without her,” he said.

Kristopher realized it early in their relationship, and those findings have only been reinforced a thousand times over since. Gabrielle has been 100 percent dedicated to raising her four children while also helping Kristopher grow and evolve as a person. One such area is in his ability to take a cue from her and think more positively in the face of challenges.

And for the kids, there’s nothing too big or small that she wouldn’t do for them.

“She will do anything for her kids,” Kristopher said. “I mean anything, even if that means sacrificing something for her. She is loving. She teaches them letters, numbers and words. She is very patient with them, and she makes each of them feel like they are the most special child in the world.”

That’s a powerful feeling that perhaps Gabrielle doesn’t allow herself to fully grasp. After all, raising the kids isn’t about anything but their best interests and making them “light up” like it’s their first time at Disney World as often as she possibly can.

While she does get to have it both ways with her career and family, there’s no question where Gabrielle’s heart really lies.

Kristopher and the kids feel the exact same way, even if they don’t express it as often as they should. Gabrielle is the heart and soul of their family, and they’re infinitely grateful for everything she does.

“Though sometimes it is not verbally communicated, it is very much known how much you do and how much you sacrifice for this family,” Kristopher said. “It doesn’t go unnoticed. You are the heartbeat of this family and we love you so very much.”
